Managing Construction Project Delays Caused by COVID-19
Every business has been impacted by COVID-19, and the construction industry is no different. While the industry is working hard to keep project sites as safe and healthy as possible, there is also the inevitable prospect of delays and impacts to projects. Although Executive Orders have allowed construction to continue, projects are adapting to Social Distancing Requirements and other restrictions, and may yet face labor shortages and disruption to supply chains, material delays and other impacts.
This webinar will address the concept of force majeure and excusable delay clauses, and discuss how COVID-19 issues may be analyzed and evaluated under construction contracts. As project safety is the paramount goal, it is critical to evaluate and understand who may bear the burden for increased costs and schedule delays caused by COVID-19, and steps parties can take to mitigate those risks. Assessing these risks is equally important to business owners and contractors looking at launching future projects.
Patrick A. Drewry, DSV Partner, will present the webinar and address questions from the audience.
