The Burden features high-level active duty and retired military leaders, elected officials, including Mayor Ballard, and also illustrates a tale of energy innovation. Some of our country’s most vital consumer technologies emerged out of military needs and the military is poised to play the same role again with energy.
Hear from two of our veterans, Mayor Ballard and Dan Martin, veteran representative of Operation Free, on their experiences and thoughts about what we can do to break our addiction and improve national security. Operation Free is a campaign of the Truman National Security Project. Mayor Brainard will also discuss Carmel’s green initiatives.
The program is free and sponsored by Carmel Green Initiative and the Carmel Clay Public Library. Pre-registration is encouraged at www.carmelgreen.org , but walk-ins are welcomed. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at the Carmel Clay Public Library located at 55 4th Avenue SE in Carmel.
