One nomination stated Mandujano, “… goes above and beyond for Carmel High School, its staff and students. He embodies professionalism at all times and works harder than anyone to make sure the job is done correctly and perfectly…Roberto also works well under pressure. [He is]…a leader among his colleagues when they are faced with pressing issues which require a decision. He always has a smile on his face and kind words to say.”
“Roberto is an exemplary member of the Carmel Clay Schools community. He works tirelessly to provide the support necessary for students and staff at Carmel High School to have an optimal learning environment, directly contributing to our students’ successes,” stated Dr. Wahl.

Support Staff of the Year nominations are made by students, parents and colleagues each spring. A selection committee consisting of support staff and administrators reviews the nominations, conducts interviews with both the candidate’s principal and a nominator, and then selects the recipient of the award.
