“We are immensely privileged to have found so many musically gifted people who are so passionate about sharing those gifts with others. We find ourselves constantly seeking new opportunities to engage people through song,” said Marc Feeney, Vice President of Fishers Music Works and acting FCC manager. “When we were presented with the chance to partner with Community North for the holidays, it was a natural fit for us. It provides us with a holiday experience that all musicians live for, and it helps us reach other citizens who might enjoy themselves in this group we’ve assembled. We hope that we can bring a little cheer to those who are spending this holiday season away from their homes.”
About Fishers Community Chorus: The Fishers Community Chorus was formed by Fishers Music Works (FMW) in August 2015. The chorus, led by conductor Schuyler Brinson, is comprised of over 40 non-professional singers, age 18 and up. In their triumphant inaugural season, the choir tripled in membership in only 9 months. FCC performed four concerts for audiences, numbering from 100 to 1200, with a focus on community engagement and collaboration. The chorus paired with the enormous HSE High School combined choirs, the Mudsock Jazz Combo, Geist Christian Church’s Chancel Choir, and even a chamber orchestra.
