June 30, 2015 - Fishers, IN - Hyper local print and online media company TownePost Network, Inc. announced today the addition of a new sports magazine to their portfolio of community newsletters called Mascot Monthly. The first-of-its-kind print magazine will focus on a single school’s sports programs and be direct mailed to homes and businesses in the school district.
“Mascot Monthly is different because it will be the first monthly publication dedicated only to a high school’s sports activities,” said Tom Britt, TownePost Network, Inc. and Mascot Monthly publisher. “It will be the same type of hyper local journalism that we have been doing for over 11 years. This is a segment with such a strong fan base, but it has been grossly underserved by traditional media. We’re looking forward to filling that gap.”
Besides the niche content, Mascot Monthly will also be unique in size and presentation. When the full color magazine arrives in the mailbox, it will be 8-½” x 11” but then open to a 17” x 22” newspaper size. Inside, various student athletes, coaches, club sports, calendars and social media mentions will be featured each month.
“The partnership with the Carmel Mascot Monthly is exciting for the Carmel High School Athletic Department,” said Jim Inskeep, Athletic Director for Carmel High School. “We are looking forward to working with some of the best in the business to promote and report on the many successes of our programs.
Mascot Monthly will help the school’s athletic departments not only with publicity, but financially. A donation from each advertisement published in the magazine will go back to fund various programs and needs in the athletic departments.
