It’s reported that 80% percent of families in the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS)
system need help with basic school supplies. The mission of Indy BackPack Attack is to
collect school supplies to provide children the tools they need to succeed in school. With
the help of local organizations and businesses, Indy BackPack Attack has collected more than 3.5 million school supplies since 1999!
Mandy Emery, chair of Indy BackPack Attack stated, “We are busy gearing up for this year’s Indy BackPack Attack School Supply Drive Kickoff! The generosity and support of so many local businesses and organizations coming together with a common goal to put the tools essential to learn into students hands in Central Indiana is amazing! We are also very excited to add the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the Indianapolis Fire Department on as new partners with Indy BackPack Attack and look forward to a successful drive.”
