The Indiana Members Foundation was founded in 2010 by Indiana Members Credit Union employees and volunteers for the purpose of being a positive influence in the community, specifically providing school children in the Indianapolis area with the necessary essentials for learning and succeeding in their education.
Mandy Emery, vice president of community involvement for IMCU and executive director of Indiana Members Foundation stated, “Our Bowl-A-Thon is one of our biggest annual fundraisers. It’s a great chance for our employees to bring their families and visit with fellow co-workers while raising money for a great cause! It’s truly heartwarming to realize the generosity of our IMCU family. We were able to raise over $9,000 which will help us (Indiana Members Foundation) to support our mission. Our plan is to purchase at least 5,000 backpacks and enough school supplies to fill them. In addition we will be purchasing 500 school uniforms, belts and shoes to provide to school children in the Indianapolis area. We also plan to fund four grants to local non-profits that serve the youth in our communities. The grants will be funded up to $2,500 each through our Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant Program. The application process will begin April 15.”
