The purpose of the Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant Program is to assist schools and community organizations that help children to achieve success in learning. The 2016 grants were awarded to the following organizations during a luncheon hosted at IMCU’s headquarters on Tuesday, July 26, 2016:
- Christel House Academy, Inc- $1,000
- Playworks Indiana- $2,500
- Riley Children’s Foundation- $2,500
- Visually Impaired Preschool Services, VIPS Indiana- $2,500
The funding for the grants comes from the Foundations fundraising efforts. Applications
are accepted and reviewed April 15 – May 31 and awarded the 2nd Friday in July.
Mandy Emery, vice president of community involvement of IMCU stated, “We are so proud to be able to provide the Joan Wolfe Legacy Grants to such outstanding non-profits again this year. We would like to thank all of the organizations, non-profits and schools that applied. The dedication and passion that these organizations have to help our youth succeed in not only their education but their lives outside of the classroom is truly amazing.”
