CARMEL, IN – Your smartphone can become your guide to events, restaurants, festivals, arts and more with the new Carmel Community Guide application now available at the App Store and Google Play for smart phones and tablets.
Using GPS, the Carmel IN Community Guide app can help you locate the closest hotels, shops, attractions, golf courses and places to enjoy the great outdoors in Carmel – including the new Carmel Caffeine Trail and the Indiana Glass Trail artists in Carmel.
“We hope residents and visitors alike will enjoy this app designed to help you find a variety of events and activities conveniently and quickly with just a few taps on your smartphone or tablet,” said Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard.
The Carmel IN Community Guide app is free and includes multiple listings under the categories: Arts & Music, Food & Drink, Nature & Outdoors, Shopping, Attractions, Events, Sports and Lodging. The app further breaks down to include sub-categories, for example, under Food & Drink, there are separate categories for American, Asian, Bars & Pubs, Barbecue, Coffee Tea & Treats, Gluten-Free, Locally-Owned and many other categories.
The app was developed by the City of Carmel in conjunction with Bluebridge, the Fishers-based company that in just a few short years has become the largest provider of destination apps in the world, launching more than 600 apps in the iTunes and Google Play app stores for organizations around the world.
The Carmel IN Community Guide app includes easy-to-use features such as “click-to-call” phone numbers and live links to websites and maps for directions. There are also easy sharing functions for events so that you can easily share information with your friends.
The City of Carmel invites local businesses and attractions to connect with us in order to update and improve the information listed on the app.
