Each year, the CarmelFest offers free entertainment to festival goers on July 3rd and July 4th at the Carmel Civic Center. Brian Carriger, Entertainment Director, stated, “I'm very excited about CarmelFest 2015's entertainment line-up, which includes bands such as Midwest Rhythm Exchange - a very talented local bluegrass group - along with CarmelFest veterans like My Yellow Rickshaw and The Wright Brothers, plus our famous Guitar-mel Fest show.”
In light of the fact that the CarmelFest Parade will feature fifty WWII Veterans in our Grand Marshal unit and include over two-hundred and fifty past, present and newly enlisted military personnel in our Grand Finale, our Parade Directors have been working hard to arrange for a military plane flyover at (or near) the start of the Parade. Due to the diligent efforts of CarmelFest Parade Co-Director Bec Hunter, a military flyover has been officially approved by the National Guard. Two A-10 “Warthog” Planes from the Ft. Wayne Indiana Air National Guard 163rd Blacksnakes Squadron will conduct the flyover during the Centier Bank CarmelFest Parade on Saturday, July 4th between 10:30 a.m. and noon.
This year’s CarmelFest Parade will feature a giant cold-air filled balloon “Elmo”. He will be riding on top of a red, white and blue hat and is approximately thirty feet high. Elmo will move along the parade route to the sound of Sesame Street music. According to Parade Chair, Peggy Powell, “We are thrilled to have this new addition in the CarmelFest parade. We have always wanted a jumbo-balloon and now we have one!”
Pedal & Park will offer free bBicycle parking at CarmelFest on Friday, July 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm.

Indianapolis, IN—Thirty years ago on June 12, 1985, Community Health Network embarked on a journey to provide greater access to healthcare for northeast side residents by opening Community Hospital North. It took significant vision and the spirit of innovation on the part of network leaders, who acquired the farmland on which the hospital was built, while Castleton was in its early stages of development and Fishers was just a small rural town. It was this vision that established Community Health Network as the most prominent healthcare provider in what has become one of the nation’s fastest-growing suburban areas.
