The 2016 series offers eleven family-friendly concerts featuring a mix of pop, rock, jazz, and country musical performances. In addition, at 6 p.m. on both June 15th and August 3rd, children’s favorite, Ruditoonz, will give a performance for kids of all ages! Attendance at the free concerts has increased steadily to as many as 2,500 persons each Wednesday since the series began in 1993. The Summer Family Concert Series at the Gazebo is presented by the Carmel Fountain Square Committee, a non-profit volunteer organization. The series is fully funded by local government, individual and corporate sponsors. A detailed listing of the sponsors for the 2016 series is attached.

June 1 – Flying Toasters
One of Indy’s hottest club bands, the Flying Toasters bring fun and party perfection to any event. Six vocalists coupled with talented musicians always energize a crowd and leave a lasting impression.
June 8 – Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra
The nationally – recognized Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra (IJO) is a premier professional repertory large jazz ensemble and Indiana’s official ambassador of big band jazz. Composed of leading professional instrumentalists and vocalists from central Indiana, the IJO was created to preserve and advance the dynamic history of the big band.
June 15 – Jennie DeVoe
Jennie DeVoe is an independent singer/songwriter with a soulful-blues-Americana vibe whom Bonnie Raitt calls, “A great songwriter” and “One of the most talented and hardest working musicians I know.” DeVoe is a performer who connects with her audience like no other.
June 22 – Dave & Whitney
From their cowboy boots to their down home roots. Country music has seeped into their veins right from the Southern Indiana soil. They grew up on well water, bluegrass pickin and gospel singin. Born and raised to be country musicians, they are David and Whitney, Ya’ll!
June 29 – Air National Guard Band of the Midwest
Performing an exciting and diverse musical repertoire that preserves our national heritage as Americans, the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest instills patriotism, national pride and esprit de corps. The Band of the Midwest performs a vital role in communicating the message and professionalism of today’s United States Air Force and Air National Guard.
July 6 – My Yellow Rickshaw
This band weaves humor, variety and seamless covers into every show with a refreshing lineup of sounds including mandolin, upright bass, keytar and fiddle. They present a unique repertoire, while being tongue-in-cheek with the self-deprecating moniker, “Indy’s self-proclaimed number one pop, rock, bluegrass and R&B cover band.”
July 13 – Blair Clark
Well known around Carmel, Blair & Company performs a variety of music – including R&B, pop, jazz, rock & roll, Motown and other favorite standards. Strong vocals and great music are always big crowd pleasers.
July 20 - Stella Luna & the Satellites
Stella Luna & the Satellites have created a buzz with their high-energy live shows performing
today’s current hits, crowd favorites and timeless classics from many different styles of music,
providing the variety and excitement that many people have been craving when they enter a live-entertainment venue.
July 27 - The Woomblies Rock Orchestra
This band’s set list includes a wide selection of classic rock, soul and R&B hits, as well as original songs. They play a little bit of everything, including The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Johnny Cash, Radiohead, James Brown and Marvin Gaye.

Always a great entertainment choice, The Bishops, bring entertainment, musical variety, professional-level musicianship and sound – a show that many label “the best cover band touring Indianapolis today.”
